Hi Folks, So I have this saw for well over a year and have used it a lot and is supposed to be my go to tool in the workshop but sadly im not loving it… What I like:Its powerful enough for softwoodsIts very quietI love the castor mobile base that is attached. What I don’t like1. The fence guides suck .. the rail that guides the fence is forever out of alignment at least every month I have going underneath the front rail and tightening the nuts. I don’t like that the...

So I just purchased this Impact Driver from the Home Depot and it included a charger and 2 Lithium battery’s. I really like this drill and in the short time ive had this drill i have put it through it paces, I basically built 2 garden gates with a ton of screws on a single charge on 1 battery. Pros.. One of the main reasons I bought this was because it has some great features in cluding a light on the handle that you can decide whether to turn on or off.. The Lithium battery is li...

Expensive but Useful

So I purchased this because of a couple of reasons: I am tired of spending a lot of money on trim and molding at the the big box stores and I have started to make my own on the router table easy!!!!!! BUT when it came to cutting 1/4” -1/2” strips of a larger piece I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe ripping these dimensions on my TS.. On top of this need I have been bombarded with magazine articles and TV commercial promoting this product and I decided that I would see what...

I was replacing a Craftsman Miter saw for a better sliding version amd I stuck with Craftsman becaise the other saw was perfect until I stsrted working with wider boards and was tires off setting up the crosscut slet on my TS. Anyway I like this model for the following reasons..1. It was on sale and got this $300 saw for $207.2. Its a quick learning curve from owning a non sliding miter saw to a sliding model.3. The saw came with a 60 tooth blade that is great for hitting the ground runnin...

In in the middle of the design phase of creating mitre saw station and I think the doors will be mortise and tennon joinery anyway I have been practicing with this set.. Although I think a lot of Kregs products are exspensive they are extremely well made and they are made for the beginner in mind. I purchased this jig because I wanted to put shelf pin holes in an existing cabinet and it worked awesome, I especially like the simplicity of the jig. The Shelf Pin Jig also includes a dual-position, adjustable fence for custom hole placement, a locating pin for quick and accurate spacing reference, a jig extender that lets you connect multiple Shelf Pin Jigs...

Wonderful Jig

Wonderful Jig

My first experience with Kreg was when I purchased the small R3 jig and I have to say I enjoyed it and it worked simply and efficiently so I decided to upgrade my model and purchased the K4…. It was a bigger cost jump and to be honest I think it’s over priced BUT after building a cedar deck cooler with it ….. It was worth every penny. I built a version of the Kreg storage box that they have plans to on there website and secured the jig to it and it works a treat…. ...

When I was designing one of my first projects (Router Cabinet) I came across this pocket hole system and its awesome and forms extremely strong joints. The kit comes with everything you need to create a somewhat hidden joint, especially when you use the Kreg Plugs. If you build frames for anything from cabinets to pictures this method is awesome.

If your on a budget then this is the press for you here are some pros and cons… Pros:1. Light is a great feature especially when trying to position a brad point on your workpiece2 Small enough to fit under a bench at 23” high3 Cast iron base and shelf makes it extremely sturdy but a con appears when trying to move and position the 6×6” shelf it’s very heavy4. Overall I like it Cons:1. Hard to position wood on shelf as its too small( that’s why I buil...

Well what can I say, my wife bought me this saw for Christmas and she did an awesome job. I really like the size of the saw 10” is just what I need, also the Laser Trac system is extremely helpful. It came with a 10” 40tooth saw blade that does a great job, but if you are planning on doing detailed finished work I would get another blade. I built a mitre saw cart and all in all I couldn’t be happier./!
