Ok, where was I?

Got the two sides out of the clamps..

Side One..

Was trying to see IF I like the “flat” panel look….not..

Side two. I think a Raised Panel look will just have to do…

Which leaves the ends to make. Collection of planes were the ones being used.

They need smaller stiles….made it a bit rough to use the 45….still had a 1×4 slab…I could make the grooves first, rip the part off the slab, and keep making parts. Took a couple wide planks…I got all four stiles and three rails..

I had a 1×2 of the Walnut. Was too narrow to put in the vise, so I notched the ends and used a couple screws to fasten the part on it’s edge, plane the groove, then bandsaw it out.

Use the mitresaw to square the ends, and do the shoulder cuts for the tenons, bandsaw for the cheek cuts…Panels needed cut down to length, and the edges jointed for width. Then Beveled like before..

Dry fit?

and a glue up..

Had the next set ready to go into the clamps. But,, how to connect the corners?

Well ii involves a pair of cutters, and the Stanley 45..

That would be next time….stay tuned…
