I am a software/electrical engineer at NOAA. I design, build, and write software for various weather balloon instruments. Woodworking is a hobby I picked up to work with my hands and have projects to occupy my free time.

I really enjoy building small wood projects on the weekends and after work. I also spend time hiking, bicycling, playing video games, and building computers.

Thanks for all your kind comments. My woodworking obsession is gaining momentum, increasing at an exponential rate. I have to remember to keep things slow and safe so I don’t lose my fingers to the table saw, or one of its many dastardly accomplices. I’m sure this will be a lifelong hobby that will bring me lots of fun and hopefully create many pieces that will long outlast me.

I’m currently working on a little jewelry box for my mother, started a few days back. After I’m done with the remaining few finishing coats, I’ll post some pics here.
