Walnut Crotch and Maple Box

I made this little box from a strip of maple floorboard I found in my wood shed and a piece of walnut crotch I bought last year at a flea market. It has a suede insert on the inside. I finished it with boiled linseed oil.

Really nice. the walnut is beautiful, and i really like the way you lined it with leather and left a tab for opening it!

Linkovitch, the crotch walnut is beautiful. I like the contrast in the woods you chose. The rounded corners and edges have nice eye appeal. This sweet box looks like it is sticking its tongue out at me. For box making tips to think about, you might look here.
