Modular wine rack

My daughter saw a picture of a wine rack and wanted me to do a copy, here is the first piece now to make a few more identical ones!
It’s a piece of Camphor Laurel.

the wood is spectacular,but I need more as far as function buddy?give us a little more detail!

There isn’t a lot to tell mate, I will be building a few more identical ones to this and they just stack on top of each other with the 30 degree angled cutouts top and bottom of each end fitting in to each other. The base ends up resting on the top of the two sections in between the three bottles.

Here is a quick sketch, you can see why I never draw plans hahaha

Looks like an ongoing project Dave, should end up very nice. I love working with Camphor laurel, has a great smell to it.

I like them a lot. Only thing, seems like you chew up a lot of wood and left with lots of strange leftover shapes. Still…

I like it too, and am already thinking of fun things to make with the “strange leftover shapes”. (Too bad I don’t have a band saw yet. LOL). Thanks for posting.

Gheeeez is that a great concept and well executed

you know I’m going to have to try to copy, I’ve always made mine vertical

Camphor is a weed over here mate.


I like them a lot. Only thing, seems like you chew up a lot of wood and left with lots of strange leftover shapes. Still…

I have been asked for the dimensions so here you go. They are in millimeters.
