The bookshelf is made from walnut and back lit with LED’s. The designer had the alcove faux painted with a metallic and plaster paint so it would reflect the light

Looks great, Brian. The faux paint was a good call, at first I thought it was a figured maple.

Maybe next time, I tried to make it to the Denver meetup both times you where their, I just couldn’t make it happen with all the other life stuff that goes on
