Hello friends. Today I made a handle for a shoe spoon, which was sent to me by a friend of mine from Grand Rapids, Michigan Jim Jakosh, I am very grateful to him that he gave me the opportunity to work with such an interesting tree. Anatolli, you did an excellent job making that shoe horn with that piece of Osage Orange. That looks better than the ones I make. I was going to send you a completed one, but I wanted you to have the opportunity to work with that really neat wood! The farmers here use that wood for fence posts. It will last 100 years in the ground because it does not rot!

Anatolli, you did an excellent job making that shoe horn with that piece of Osage Orange. That looks better than the ones I make. Thank you, Jim. This is a great material, I liked working with it. But, to sharpen this material, such long blanks need a lunette, since this material is thinner the more vibrates.
