We recently made some cornhole sets designed to be relatively lightweight and portable.

There’s a lot of room for improvement on these based on the lightweight/portable theme. (future revisions could use 1/4” plywood with torsion box-like elements, better ways of attaching together, etc). But, here’s at least the first proof of concept in the direction of a cornhole set you’d actually take with you somewhere.

If you do something along the lines of this, there are two major things I want to be clear about:
1) find a way to lock them together. (I’m still testing various ideas)
2) definitely cut those 45 degree angles plenty deep. That will save your set if somebody recklessly separates them at an odd angle.

Whatever you do, be sure to post pictures.

What a great idea for storage for the bags and both boards to take up less space, well done

Really great build Mr. Kelly. I especially like the “nesting” idea. I too build Cornhole boards but mine clamp to one another. Nice but a bit bulky and heavy. Maybe I’ll try your idea of drilling all those holes . . . The nesting Washers game really adds a finishing touch to the game set.

Looking over your information, I see that you used Sketchup. I went looking for the actual file in their warehouse to study further. Couldn’t find it. Any chance I could get you to “share” it?

Again, Mr. Kelly, really nice build! ! !
