The principal at my school is (re)married to the nurse. So being that his birthday is coming up at the end of the month she asked me to make a “sign” for their new house. She wanted it to be simple and supplied a saying that they both like, so this is what I came up with.

The frame is Cherry, and the panel is Maple ply. Overall dimensions are roughly 10”can talk by 12” wide. Top and bottom pieces are 3/4” thick, and the 2 sides are only 5/8” thick which adds a little aesthetic feature.

Since it is put together with pocket holes, I assembled the frame first and then used a rabbet bit for the back panel after frame construction. It’s finished with several coats of satin lacquer.

Thanks for looking! As gift making season really starts up, don’t forget to work safe!

The frame fits it well. Hopefully it will hang forever. Nice job Tooch.

I like the frame.

What I really like is your add on at the end.

What an amazing gift, it’s so nice.

If you ask me as a layman “what can you offer me?”
My answer would be nothing but free movie download sites to spice up your day ! #Lol
