This table started as my neighbors tree. There are 4 large black walnut trees on my road. (60” diameter) He has it cut down and sold most of it. I asked if he would mind me taking a large piece from near the top that had three leads at the end. He gave me the log for free and the rest is history. Some of the best crotch walnut I have seen! I ended up making him a box as a thank you. Now if I can just get my hands on the other 3 walnuts on my street

Magnificant table – classic woodworking piee of furniture – man can learn lot of basic technics on that project.

Beautiful Table! Well done. I notice you chose to go lower than typical with the stretcher. Was that to make it more of a foot rest than a knee knocker, or just aesthetics?

That wood is pure gold, er, pure walnut, which, if you are like me, pretty much consider them equal.
