Topic tags/keywords: question stanley 50

Hello,

Is the cutter bolt wing nut for the Stanley 50 Combination Plane a standard size?
I need a replacement and I am looking for solutions.

Thank you,
Theodor

I measured the cutter bolt at 28tpi and 0.249 in diameter. I don’t have a 1/4-28 screw to confirm that with though.

Thank you Tim!
I will try a 1/4-28 nut.

If that doesn’t work, there is a cutter bolt wing nut for a #50 on eBay for $10 shipped.
