I have some walnut that has white “something” within the grain of the wood. I tried to get some closeups. I wasn’t able to plane or sand it away. Wondering what it is?

Minerals I think. It disappears when finished.
Perhaps I’ve just been lucky.

Thanks Loren and a1Jim. I was working on a thank you gift for someone and wanted to make sure this wasn’t an issue of concern. When looking closely, it is only in places that have what looks like different grain -more smooth brown streaks. Haven’t noticed it in the heartwood.
