Hello,

I looked all over to find my answer and found conflicting information. So I thought I would ask for some input here.

I have a SawStop PCS and will be purchasing an Incra TS-LS table saw fence. When I take off the SawStop fence, I’d really like to keep the heavy duty angle iron on front and back as extra support for the cast iron wings (although some say it isn’t needed). I’ve searched for this topic on a few sites but there isn’t much on it that I could find. I saw where one person said that they need to be removed to allow installation of the Incra rails, but then I saw where someone else said that they didn’t. I also saw where someone removed them, but installed some fabbed up flat stock. It think that would be fine, but I do not have access to have flat stock fabricated for that.

Thank you for any input.
Paul

This is my SawStop 3HP PCS with Incra fence. I don’t remember exactly what the angle iron looked like, but I believe it would be more trouble than it’s worth to try to get to support the Incra rails. I sold the angle iron along with the SawStop fence as a unit on Craigslist, which fetched a quick-and-easy $200 if I remember correctly. When I measured the left wing sag with my A-Line-It, I don’t believe there was any appreciable sag.

(Sigh…I write software for a living, and these images look fine on my phone and computer…no idea why they’re rotated here)

Have your say...
