Mostly I work on projects for my own home or shop. On a rare occasion I do larger projects but my Father taught me a valuable lesson as a child. If you are always working on things for someone else when are you getting your own projects done? So I learned to say "NO" alot and with conviction to put down the many request for work for someone else. Hobbies should be enjoyed, not a burden.

Hi Woodbutcherbynight

You figured it out! The color coded drawers is a theme I started with my workbench, which I plan on showing soon, and it works great for both getting tools and for returning them.

Saves a great deal of time overall and yes it has helped many times when I needed someone to retrieve a tool.

It also makes for a good conversation topic.

Thanks for your comments.

Oakhill,

The coloring of the drawer fronts is a great idea heck I may even bother to paint the faces of my drawers on a 8ft long cabinet I have had for years to add spice, color, and as my wife might comment FASHION, to the mix. (laughing)
